Valentine’s table setting

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be all about red. The great thing about this time of year
is red becomes a neutral, and it goes with everything – as long as you do it right. Small
pops of red mixed with your current colour scheme will look fantastic and add a touch of
I’m a big fan of intimate dinner parties with the people/person I love. Planning the menu,
buying the food, prepping…and of course setting the table.
This table setting was done with a mix of new and old. I love these bold, black and white
striped place mats.  The contrast goes perfectly with the pretty blue
plates I already had. The drinking glasses, which are actually small vases that
I repurposed, I thought they would look perfect with a red straw. Some simple red napkins, a milk jug with flowers, dinner menu in a pretty frame, a cake plate with treats, and the finishing touch of the scrabble tiles with messages for each of your guests…
and voila! Add some candles for mood light and you have the perfect table for the ones you love

A few other simple ideas for Valentine’s Day décor that’s easy to do:
♥ Fill vases full of candy heart, cinnamon hearts and place them in groupings
♥ Change pictures around the house with romantic poems
♥ Use love themed gift wrap as a table runner
♥ Write love notes on mirrors and glass surfaces
